What's cooking?
Just done with mine. I love pasta so i prepared spaghetti. I'm quite tired 'coz i did it all by myself. We will have grilled Tuna belly tonight. Glad mom ordered some food from a friend 'coz i'm really not in the mood to cook. I just want to eat. Hehe.
There's only few hours left before the new year starts. Another year will end and a brand new one will start. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone! All the best for the year 2008! Cheers!

Went for a trip to Davao City a couple of days ago. It's a 3-hour drive from where i live. As far as i can remember, the last time i visited the place was a year ago. So when mom asked me if i wanted to come along, i didn't have any second thoughts. Packed my things and my son's and off we go.
There's a new mall in town and it was big. As expected, it was jampacked with people from different walks of life. A relative came to see us and i was nostalgic. The last time i saw him was 13 years ago, i was still single then and still in school. We had a trip to Tacloban City that time and we stayed at his place for the night before our departure for the said city the next day. Remembered my 2-week stay in Tacloban then. That was the time of the 50th Leyte Gulf Landing celebration. It was memorable. The 45-minute fireworks display is still very vivid to me. Oh well, long story...

Here's a stuffed Tor Mater that i bought for my son. He actually chose this himself. That's how he loves the movie Cars. He was adamant to buy all four of them but i told him i haven't brought enough money for that. Perhaps soon, if i'll win the lottery. Hehe. Just kidding. He will probably have it next payday. We'll see.

My son loves the kiddie movie Cars. He would watch the DVD over and over again for the entire day. He even memorized some of the lines there. So i bought him this set of toy cars. They have names and my son can enumerate them in a snap. I was trying to remember the names but i can't. I do remember the brown one though, Tor Mater is the name if i'm not mistaken.

Got this as a Christmas gift from dear friend, Prily. She paid me a visit here at home on Christmas Eve wherein she met my father and that was just the time that they figured out that they were actually relatives. Isn't it ironic? Come to think of it, we were school mates in High-School, we weren't that close but we were friends. And it's only after more or less 16 years that we found out that we're relatives. That's just so surprising and overwhelming at the same time. She made our Christmas more memorable. She probably knows i love chocolate. Nah, i don't think she had an idea. Hehe. Thanks a lot, Pri. I am looking forward to more bonding moments with you. I will see u soon. Love yah!

Hello everyone? How was your Christmas celebration?
I wasn't able go online the last couple of days because i was busy running errands, entertaining visitors and visiting friends and relatives. It was fun! This is the time of the year that people really find time to see relatives and friends that they haven't seen for a while since this is also the time that friends go home not just from abroad but also from different parts of the country.
Our family usually gathers on Christmas Eve. We've been doing this for a while now. We had parlor games, we exchanged gifts and sang until midnight or even beyond. My throat actually sored the next day because of too much singing in the videoke. No regrets though. I had sooo much fun!

As promised, here are the pics taken at our get-together last night. It was fun though two were missing. Lilet didn't make it 'coz of some unavoidable circumstances and Aimee who's still in Singapore and will be home next year yet. But that didn't stop us from having fun. We ate, we drank, we laughed and of course, the never ending story telling. Hehe. There were gifts for the kids that was based on their personalities which i personally chose and wrapped myself. They were overjoyed upon seeing the gifts and it did put a smile on our faces just watching them with those happy faces.
From left, Joy, Me, Jane, Nimfa and Shae. Put on your best smile girls. Say Cheeez...
Dim light effect. The digicam is not in good condition so we opted to use the cellphone's cam instead. That's cutie Ella (Shae's youngest daughter) and Andrew (Joy's son).

We've been friends for almost 15 years and still counting. We haven't seen each other for a while now but we do keep in touch whenever possible. That's how texting became so helpful.
Our get-together is set tomorrow night. We just do this once in a while because of our very hectic schedules. This is the time that we update each other with what's been happening with our lives. I miss them a lot. I can't wait. I will post some pics tomorrow.

This is such a nice story so i wanted to share this with you. Read on...
One day a farmer's donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure outwhat to do.Finally, he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be coveredup anyway;it just wasn't worth it to retrieve the donkey.
He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and began to shovel dirt into the well.At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone's amazement he quieted down.
A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well.He was astonished at what he saw. With each shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing somethingamazing. He would shake it off and take a step up.
As the farmer's neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal,he would shake it off and take a step up.Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped upover the edge of the well and happily trotted off!
MORAL :Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up.Each of our troubles is a steppingstone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up!Shake it off and take a step up.

Been busy shopping for gifts since yesterday. The mall was jampacked with people from different walks of life. Just watching them queuing at the counter makes me want to turn my back, return the things i bought and just go home. But i waited patiently. I don't have a choice, do i? Whether i'll do it tomorrow or the day after tomorrow, it will still be the same. That's already given because Christmas is just around the corner.
But come to think of it, haven't seen anybody i knew from those hundreds of people there. Hmmm, where did all those people come from? Hehe. Just kidding. Well, the mall was big, so why was i thinking that i'd get to see some friends or relatives anywhere. Perhaps they were there and we were just going different directions. Whatchathink? Harhar.
My feet sored from too much standing and walking. Should have worn flip-flops. My sis did. Next time, i'll do that.

This is the place that i have been dreaming to visit, specifically Unalaska. Haven't heard of this place in my 30 years of existence (i'm not good with geography, sorry) until i met this person who told me a lot about it. I was trying to picture out things from the way he narrated it and i can say, it's one of the best places to be in. Do i sound like I belong in their tourism council? Hehe. Nah, i was just trying to share my thoughts. Does anyone here happened to see Unalaska?

Some lessons are best learned thru pain...
Sometimes our visions clear only after our eyes are washed with tears...
Sometimes we have to be broken so we can be whole again...
If God meant the day to be perfect, He would not have invented tomorrow...
So don't worry if today wasn't perfect 'coz you still have tomorrow...
And if there's anything in your heart that feels right, go after it no matter what it takes...

Received this from a friend who's miles away from me. He sent this through email. It got such a heart warming message that really gave me a good start today. He put a smile in my face with this.
It really feels great to have good friends around...putting a smile on our faces whenever we're down and all. Glad he is always there for me. Thanks a lot friend. (",)

I got so hooked with this blog stuff wherein i kind of messed up in some of the things that should be done and all. My friend Mabelle who happens to be my mentor advised that i should just start a new site. Whew! Kinda sucks but i guess that's the right thing to do, huh? So here i am...starting all over again. Please bear with me fellas, i'm still coping and trying to understand everything. I'll soon get used to this, for sure. (",)
