Our city, General Santos a.k.a. Gensan is celebrating its 69th Foundation Anniversary today. The festival which officially started on the 16th of February with a firework display and will end up later tonight with another firework display had various activities from day one. What i like best with festivals such as this is the flea market and of course, the spirit that the festival brings. I watched the glamorous 80th Annual Academy Awards last monday. I'm not after the winners why i watched the show but i'm more interested on the gowns the actresses wore.

Just learned yesterday that my 4-year-old son already memorized and can now recite the grace before meal prayer. I wasn't aware that my niece taught him to. Work has kept me preoccupied that i don't have time to check on my son's development everyday as much as i want to. I was delighted when i heard him recited the prayer last night. You just made mommy proud.

Filipinos were already used to celebrate Valentine's Day every year. For some, it is just a celebration for lovers, for some it is a time for a family get-together or a time to hang out with friends, but for some it is just another day of the year, nothing special. I've always celebrated this day with my family. And i am referring to my parents, simblings, nieces, nephews plus my son and when my hubby was still around. Even during those "dating" days, family first before anybody else. And today is no different, it would still be the same thing that i was accustomed to.

I am really happy as well as my other five colleagues because we've got good news today - the news that we've been waiting and wanting for so long.
