I had a long day today. Went to visit my OB for my monthly check-up and went to see some friends after. We just had a little chitchat - updating each other then i headed to the mall by myself. My friends have different things to attend to so we parted ways in different directions. As i arrived at the mall, i went directly to National Bookstore to buy a birthday card for my dear friend. It's his birthday today and he'll get the card a little late but it's better late than never, right? Hehe. I've chosen a musical card since it's been a while that i've given one to someone. As i remember, the last person that i've given a musical birthday card was my hubby. I went to the underground floor after since it's where the post office is located. As i got there, i sat down first on one of the tables of the restaurant located in front of the post office to write down my birthday wishes for my dear friend. I then went to the grocery to buy some stuff and headed home.

Yoga really fascinates me though i don't know how to do it step by step. I haven't tried it even once but it is one thing that i really want to try someday. Actually, i can try it now if only sessions or lessons for such is available here in the city but there's none. From what i've learned and seen on T.V., Yoga relaxes our mind and body after doing so since it is some kind of an exercise for the mind and body. It would be best to have one on a stressful day or if you're in some sort of problems. Don't you think so? I've been hearing about Yoga recently because this friend of mine is into it. That's the reason why i thought of blogging about it here 'cause hearing it from him almost everyday makes me want to do Yoga the soonest. Hope i can do it soon.

This friend of mine, Pete, really never fails to amuse me whenever we chat online or even through e-mails. Aside from saying that i look like Priscilla Ahn, one time, he also told me through e-mail that i am like a Geisha. I really don't know what he meant by that. I asked him why but he still haven't responded to that e-mail. Hmm, we chatted earlier but i forgot to ask him about it.

Anyways, as i've learned, a Geisha is one of a class of professional women in Japan trained from girlhood in conversation, dancing, and singing in order to entertain professional or social gatherings of men. He compared me to a Geisha probably because he was well entertained during our conversations. Hehe. Well, he told me once that i have nice traits and he always enjoy our conversations. Perhaps those are the reasons. I am not sure though. But he said he meant it as a compliment. Will just ask him soon to be sure. Hehe.

I love watching movies especially if it’s an action or a sci-fi flick. I love the thrill in those kinds of films that’s why I always choose them over the others. There’s this one sci-fi flick from the eighties that I really like – Back to the Future because aside from the actor Michael J. Fox who’s one of my favorite actors in Hollywood, the film’s special effects is simply amazing. I didn’t even miss the sequels as well. I was still in my grade school years when the movie was shown but I still can remember some of the scenes up to now. That’s how I liked that film so much.

And speaking of movies from the eighties, did you know that WarGames has returned? Yes indeed, and they are actually on their 25^th Anniversary which is why the film will be shown in select theaters in the United States on July 24^th, Thursday. My siblings have been encouraging me to practice driving since i'm the only one left who doesn't know how to drive in the family. My hubby taught me a little before but i just didn't have the courage to push through with it. I freaked out most of the time especially if there's already a vehicle coming to our direction. But today was different. We did go around the subdivision still but i'm braver now as compared before. I didn't freak out anymore and i actually managed to drive until the main road of the subdivision which was getting a little busy that time 'cause it was around 5 o'clock in the afternoon already. Practicing today was never in the plan. My sister visited us since she's on maternity leave and she suddenly thought of it while we were chatting in the balcony. It was just a short practice though, about thirty minutes but we'll do it again tomorrow if the car is available. Hopefully it will be 'cause i'm really getting excited about it.

I really don't know her nor even heard of her until the other day when my friend Peter sent me a link to this video. He asked me if this girl look like anybody i knew. It made me think for a while. It's my first time to see her face and i really have no idea who she is. So i thought, maybe she's Peter's girlfriend or crush. I actually told him that and he simply retorted that it was silly of me to think of such because what he was trying to say was, the girl in the video looks like me. Huh! I was really surprised but flattered at the same time. Of course, who wouldn't? Hehe. Priscilla Ahn as i've learned from Peter is a Vietnamese and is a singer. Well, she's probably just starting up that's why i haven't heard of her yet. Isn't she pretty? That is why i totally disagree with Peter because i don't see myself as pretty as she is but that's how he sees things. He really insisted that Priscilla Ahn is my look-alike. Wow! But i guess that's only in the eyes of my friend Peter. Hehe. What do you think? Are we look-alikes? Hmmm...

It was kind of an unlucky day for me yesterday. I've just woke up and was starting to prepare Yogi's things for school when the incident happened. I was in a hurry getting things done when i accidentally hit my left big toe at the corner of the bed's base. Ours is a bank bed made of solid wood (Narra to be exact) so imagine how painful could that be. I really thought my nail was detached from my toe but luckily it was still there. It just cracked a bit and a blood clot formed underneath. It was really painful but the pain has already subsided now. Poor toe.

Anyways, this picture was taken when we were at the beach few weeks back. I haven't taken a photo of my injured toe so i guess you just have to picture out that little blood clot in that cutie left big toe of mine. Hehe.

What's keeping me adamant to guess what's inside that simply wrapped thing is the prize she's giving away. Imagine, she'll give me one of her domains if ever i get to guess it. Geeez! What could it be? I really have no idea. I just hope my li'l guardian angel here will help me with it by giving some signs. Hehe. Don't worry Mabelle, i know i'll be able to guess that soon. I’ve always been fond of watching comedy shows, gag shows or stand-up comedy for one simple reason, it definitely feels good to laugh. I do admire those individuals or comedians for that matter who possess excellent sense of humor and do comedy shows naturally and spontaneously. And that’s what Glenn Beck is famous for. He does political satire comedy with spontaneity which most people admired him for.

He has a website which presents his opinions on certain political issues and all. Glenn Beck is very outspoken and I do admire him for that. I actually find his opinions on those issues amusing. But of course, that’s what he does best, right? He is currently having his Summer Comedy Tour and his next show will be in Dallas on July 17^th which will be broadcasted in select theatres nationwide. Watch out for that.

My sister went for some groceries yesterday and thought of leaving her newly-born son, Nico here at home. He was previously nicknamed Champ which i actually posted here before but they've finally settled for Nico since his given name is Ralph Enrico. Anyways, they didn't bring Nico to the mall because he didn't behave the last time they were there so he was left here with me and i was his babysitter for the day.

It's been five years that i haven't held a baby barely two weeks old and it felt like it is something new for me. It actually feels awkward holding him at first but i eventually got used to it. Nico didn't behave all the time he was with me. He doesn't want me to put him down and he cries whenever i put him in the bed. My arms are probably more comfy than the mattress. Hehe. Oh well, Nico is here at home again today but Mom's here so it's your turn now Mom. (",)

More often than not, I don’t watch shows that deal with politics because I just end up disappointed most of the time because of the never ending issues that seems to be unresolved up to this time. Glad Glenn Beck is here to make political issues lighter, entertaining yet enlightening. He is known for bringing in the latest news about politics with wit and humor. With the many political issues nowadays, I think a little humor despite the problems of skyrocketing prices and all is what everybody wants.

I watched his video “Real Story – Energy Independence”, wherein gas prices and the Presidents with their speeches were shown all together since 1977 up to the present and you can really see how the gas price had increased, decreased and increased again. Definitely disappointing but that’s the truth. Even Glenn Beck was disappointed himself. Well, who doesn’t?

I am really glad that Yogi is enjoying school this early. He always looks forward to another day in school. He already has playmates and he is always excited to see them. He also opens his books a lot and would even want to color all of them which i didn't agree on 'cause his teacher might not like it. I've explained it to him though but there were really times that he'd insist. I've also noticed that his tantrums has lessen unlike before when school hasn't started yet wherein he whines a lot and is sulky most of the day especially when what he wants he doesn't gets. But he's a lot different now. Those tantrums were probably because he's just bored. Very good, Yogi. Hope you'll always be like that. (",)
