There's only few hours left until the New Year and i'll bet everybody is busy preparing for tonight's gathering. As usual, Mom had our food ordered so we won't be having difficulty preparing for the food. All i need to do is set the table tonight for our Media Noche. The usual stuff that you'll see in our table are the 13 kinds of fruits, different kinds of chocolates that has a round shape, the food of course and candies for the kids. It has always been like that every year. Though i believe that prosperity in one's household doesn't really depend in those things, like what people say, but still our Media Noche won't be complete without it.

Mom will still have to buy paper or bamboo made trumpets for the kids for them to blow as soon as midnight strikes. As they say, the more we make noise, the better. It's like shooing away bad things or spirits. We don't have fireworks tonight though like we used to. Dad kind of changed his habit this year. He tend to splurge when it comes to fireworks and we're just glad that he realized that he did spend a lot the previous years. He said he'll just sing in the videoke until midnight, for a change.

Oh well, enjoy the Media Noche to the fullest everyone and let's welcome the Year of the Ox with a bang!

Happy New Year!!!
Organizing an event can be a little difficult especially during this Holiday Season that almost every resto or restobar is fully booked. When they told me to organize our Pocketbell reunion, looking for a venue was the first thing on my to-do list. I'm not into gimmicks so i have no idea about the latest hangouts that offer good food and nice ambiance. I'm just so glad that i have a bro who has a very colorful night life. He told me about this bar - Magkuno Bar who offers not just sumptuous and affordable food but videoke as well where we can sing 'til we want.

So i had the bar booked exclusively for us. We enjoyed the food as much as the singing until 3 o'clock in the morning. My former colleagues liked the place a lot so on our second reunion which happened last night, the bar was the place that we went to. It wasn't in the plan actually. We were supposed to have it in another resto - Grab A Crab but the place was packed with people so we ended up in the same venue. It's okay though because we just love the food and we enjoyed the night just like our first.

It was really good being with friends again whom we haven't seen for long. We had pictures taken but i still haven't gotten some copies. I will try to post some pictures soon if permitted. We''ll be having the reunion annually from then on and of course, i will still be the one in-charge. What can i say? They all want me to do it and i'm just happy to oblige. (",)
My son and nephews are so into anime. During weekends, there is only one spot where you can see them – in the living room, glued in front of the television watching anime. They also collect anime pictures taken from the internet or bought in stores. My oldest nephew even has a collection of anime drawings that he drew himself. He’s got a talent on that one and I truly admire him for that. But mind you, aside from my nephews, my brother who is already in his mid 30’s still watches anime. Well, it doesn’t come with age, I guess. I know a lot of individuals who are addicted to anime actually.

Are you one of those individuals? Perhaps you might want to talk to people who share the same interest like you do or better yet, exchange ideas with them regarding anime. If you do, then go ahead and visit AnimeChatCity.com and have a Free Anime Chat. It is always fun and exciting to talk to people who have the same interest as you are, right? So if fun is what you’re looking for not to mention, all about anime fun, then check the site now and have an ultimate fun with your newly-found anime friends.
Whoa! It's only been three days that i wasn't able to check everything in here because our pc got problems, but my, i really missed blogging. My site was actually the first thing that i opened as soon as i set my fingers on the keyboard. Oh, and i would like to thank those who visited and made their presence felt. I appreciate it a lot. I will hit you back as soon as i'm not that busy anymore.

Been busy these past few days and it's not yet over actually. As i've posted previously, we had our reunion with my fellow Pocketbellians last Friday, and guess what? We'll have another one tonight. We didn't get enough of each other so the "updating" will continue later. Will blog more about it soon. I really have a lot of story to tell - a get together with my co-MTs last night included. So watch out 'cause it's coming soon. Lol. But i want to apologize because updating my blogs is the only thing that i can do for now because i still have some things to attend to for tonight's affair. I'll pay you all a visit soon, guys. Happy Holidays!
It was around 11 o'clock in the morning yesterday, i was having my morning snack with Yogi in the dining area, when i felt my chair shaking. It so happen that a truck passed by so i thought it' was just because of it, not until it went faster and i already saw our two dividers moving. Guess what my initial reaction was? I held the two dividers with each of my hand as if i was Hercules (literally!). Try to imagine that. I forgot i wasn't Hercules and i know i can't hold it if the earthquake had gotten faster. Haha. My friend even laughed at me when i told her about it. I was amused with what i've done too but you know, things like that could really happen when you're surprised and all. Agree? Hehe.

Later in the evening, we found out on the news that the earthquake has an intensity of 6.1. I remembered the earthquake that we had in 2002, it was only intensity 4 but it lasted almost a minute which made quite a damage on the City's properties. I don't know the exact time on how long the quake lasted yesterday but i know for certain that it was shorter as compared with the one in 2002. There was no reported damages but nevertheless, it was still scary. As of press time, we still haven't experienced aftershocks. It's not that i'm looking forward to one but i know it's inevitable.

Merry Christmas

The world is brighter in the happy glow of Christmas. May you all find the warmth and joy of Christmas within your special circle of family and friends.

Merry Christmas!
Sunday's event, which was of course Nikko's Christening left me totally drained the rest of the day until yesterday. I was supposed to go out yesterday to shop for some things needed for Christmas Eve but my body refrained me from doing so. All i could do was sleep, sleep and sleep. I didn't lack sleep the previous days but i was just so tired that it's the only thing that i wanted to do. I know rest is the only thing that i need because i fully regained my strength when i woke up this morning. I'm just so glad that i did 'cause if i didn't, i wouldn't have probably shopped for tomorrow's party which i did this afternoon. (",)
When you have dogs as pets, one problem that you usually encounter is the fleas. It can be controlled though with proper dog grooming but we do know that it will always be a part of every dog. And what’s unfortunate about it is we get to suffer from dog flea bites from time to time. We have five dogs here at home so as expected, we are one of those who weren’t spared from the bites. I even remembered those times when I saw fleas climbing on the wall and on our sofa in the living room. From then on, we make it a point to check our dogs for fleas always and do the necessary things to get rid of them if not control them.

If you are not aware of how to control or get rid of fleas the best way possible, feel free to check FleasControl.com. A guide to dealing with any kind of flea problems is given in detail on the site. It would be best that we know the pros and cons in every kind of flea control that we use since some of them could be hazardous to our health. As we all know, chemicals are used to get rid of fleas but what we do not know is the environment-friendly chemicals that are also being used at present. So be knowledgeable enough. Check the site to be safe.
This is my 6-month-old nephew Nikko and he will receive the Sacrament of Baptism tomorrow. Isn't he adorable?

His Christening is among the many things that's keeping me busy the past days. And today is no different. We checked the venue earlier, met the balloon decorator and finalized the food set-up. We are still going to return there tonight to check the table arrangements as well as the decorations which include the backdrop and balloons. My sister and I wanted to make sure everything is well done according to our preference. No one is going to do it but us.

Tomorrow is the big day and i'll be busier, i believe so. I'm tasked to check on the cake as well as the giveaways - arrange them to their spot nicely and presentable enough for the visitors to see. Hmmm...what else? I think that is it. I'm excited to see everything in its proper place and order. I will share some pictures taken on tomorrow's affair soon. (",)

The weather is gloomy again today which kind of makes me feel sluggish and lazy to do anything. I was a little bored so I thought of browsing the net instead and while doing so, I’ve read about this strange name from one of the blogs that I’ve visited. The name is new to me so out of curiosity, I clicked the name and that is when I was brought into the world of Kerchoonz – a site where we can have fun watching videos, listen to music, be updated of the latest events in the music world, play video games and join forums that most of us really find fun.

I’ve also figured that any one of us can download music and streams for free. We all know that pirated music has been the choice of some since it is affordable as compared to the original ones. But why choose pirated when you can download any music for free? Yes, free! And you can even be a big help to the music industry by doing so. Interesting, huh? I’ve actually signed up immediately after learning all those things. How about you? Sign up now and enjoy every single thing only Kerchoonz offers.

A lot of activities is going to happen in the coming days and it's been keeping me busy. Shopping for Yogi's things for their Christmas Party in school tomorrow already took a lot of my time the previous days. Also, as ive posted previously, i am the one who's organizing our reunion with my fellow Pocketbellians and it's not that easy since i need to keep in touch with everyone of them from time to time. Lastly, it's my nephew Nikko's Christening this Sunday, the 21st and i've been helping my sister with all the things needed, from the invites to the giveaways. Whew! What else? Hmmm, we will be having a get-together with my former office mates and our Christmas Party in the office is yet to be scheduled. Still looking forward to every occasion there is though. (",)
I used to join chat rooms a year ago. It was my pastime during those times. It is fun and I can say, I have learned quite a lot from the few individuals that I’ve met.

Nowadays, several Online Chat Rooms have sprouted like mushrooms in the internet which most probably gave some of us difficulty which one to join to meet one of a kind individual and have the fun. Why don’t you check out OnlineChatCity.com? This may be the answer to your question. Go ahead and see it for yourself.
For sure you know what i'm talking about. Yep, it's the yummy chocolate bars that's been a hit since the 80's. I'm munching on it right now. My aunt bought a dozen at the nearby store after feeling the hunger anybody would probably have after doing many paper works. We're the only two left here in the office. She's doing paper works that Dad told her to do and i'm doing my stuff as well - blogging. Hehe. There's no more chocolate bars left and i'm still craving for more. Let me buy some more. (",)

It was 6 o'clock this morning when two helicopters flew by which really surprised me. More often than not, we saw choppers if there's chaos in the nearby towns or if there's an activity in the city. I wonder for a moment only to realize after that it was Manny Pacquiao's Birthday. VIPs and celebrities are expected to arrive anytime today. I even heard that the president is going to grace Manny's birthday celebration tonight which will be held in the biggest convention center here in the city. So that explains the chopper, huh! Oh well, Happy Birthday Manny! (",)
A lot of people are now hooked to chatting and meeting new friends online. Do you enjoy the same yet you are looking for a site that has individuals who share the same views and interest like you do? Surprises come when we least expect them.
It's been years that we've been wanting to have a reunion but time didn't allow us. I was tasked to organize the whole thing before but i just can't do it then because of work and other stuff. But guess what? In a few days, our much-awaited reunion will soon materialize. Never thought it would happen this year. I had no communication with my fellow "Pocketbellians" for months until a few days ago when i bumped to three of them in the mall, and the idea came next. As expected, I was assigned to organize the said event again. It has always been my role even when it comes to my close friends and family. I enjoy doing it though so no problem.

Anyways, some of us won't be able to make it - two of our office mates, Thea and Liezel are now abroad, US and UK respectively. Jade on the other hand is working in Manila. We don't have any contact with our big boss too who is a native of Zamboanga. It would be nice if all of us will make it but it is just far from possible now. Nevertheless, I do believe we will still have a great time. It's been eight years since we all parted ways and the excitement of seeing each other once again is simply indescribable. We all do have some catching up to do and i really can't wait to hear their stories. See you all guys!
If you watch the news and is always updated of the health news, the disease that hits most people nowadays is heart disease. Reasons having one could be because of one’s diet and no proper exercise. Recent statistics even showed that Heart Attack is the number one killer disease in most countries.

That being said, we should all be aware not just of our diet but our health as a whole. Health is wealth after all. But if in any case you are already having the symptoms of cardiovascular problems, you might as well consider undergoing chelation therapy. Known for being the safest, quickest and the most affordable way to clean your veins and arteries, getting into one is definitely something you should think carefully about. Chelation is replenishing your arteries and veins - cleaning them up to restore its old self and have a good blood circulation again. Steps include undergoing oral chelation program for six weeks.

In totality, having our arteries and veins cleaned doesn’t only prevent us from cardiovascular problems but all the other diseases as well like diabetes, osteoarthritis, etc. As we all know, certain diseases can be because of the food we take which can be the reason for having poor blood circulation. So think about it.

It all seemed like yesterday when i wrote my first post for this blog. I was still so naive then but i'm just so glad that my friend and mentor Mabelle was there to guide and support me every step of the way. It has been a blissful year for this blog - opportunity and rank wise. So it's just right to celebrate and be merry. Here, i'm sharing this cake to all of you. Have a bite! Cheers! (",)

Happy 1st Blogoversary "My So-Called Life!"
I've always been using FF as my browser. But i think they're having some problems today because i can't open sites. Are you experiencing some problems too? Anyways, I changed to IE but it was soo slow so i decided to use GC. I opened my three blogs and was surprised when i was prompted in one of my sites about the subject stated above. Details were given that one of the graphics that i've installed contained such. Wow! Never thought GC could be this safe. Such a very nice discovery for me. I removed the graphics right away, opened my site again and the message is no longer there. With that, i think i'll use GC from now on.
It will happen later. Just have to do a little shopping at the mall. Their Christmas Party is already next week so i need to buy him some new stuff - a polo shirt, pants and shoes perhaps. I think i need to buy one for myself too since i'll be attending the party with him. We also have to buy a gift for his Kris-Kringle - a pretty little girl. Glad he has gotten a girl for a Kris-kringle 'cause it would be easier to find a gift since there's a lot of choices for the girls as compared to boys.

Yogi can't actually wait to go to the mall. He's been bugging me since the moment he arrived from school, and nagging me about this toy that he wants for himself. "When are you going to stop, Yogi? Your voice is not music to my ears anymore". Hehe. For sure he'll stop later as soon as he got hold of his toy. But that would be later yet, and most probably i'll be deaf by then. LOL.

Listening to music is one of my hobbies. I cannot last a day without listening to a single song though it varies depending on what type I prefer to listen at a certain moment. I can go country in an instant, and then go pop suddenly, and then change to R & B in a matter of seconds. It totally depends on my mood. Though my music preference changed a bit now as compared before, still, music is part of my day to day living. Actually, I used to collect CDs of the hits in the 80’s. I’ve always liked songs from that era. They never fade and still a good thing to listen to at any moment or mood I am at.

I’ve heard about individuals who are into the collection of vinyl LPs and singles. I really find it fascinating because their love and passion for music is really showing since being into one takes time, effort and money. It is really admirable and amazing to see their tons of collections which were from different eras and composed of different genres. One of which is the Weston Taylor Collection. What he has can be considered extraordinary because his collection of records have been stored for more than 50 years and was only discovered recently. Simply amazing! I wonder if I can do that one too. How about you?

I'm referring to the weather. It was soo hot this morning that i just stayed inside the house most of the time. The only time that i went out was when i picked up Yogi in school. It was at 11 o'clock and how i wished the pedicab was air-conditioned so i won't feel the heat. Lol.

And just now, the weather has changed. It is now raining. It's not that i'm complaining. I've always liked it when it rains because it's cool and you guessed it right - very conducive for a sleepyhead like me. Hehe. But i can't hit my bed just yet since i still have one assignment to accomplish. Later...
If you always watch the news, what you would usually hear are prices of goods going up most especially now that the Holiday season is here. What else is new? It has always been like that. But despite the news, there’s still something to be happy about since the skyrocketing prices doesn’t apply to all commodities. We can still avail of goods that are offered at a very affordable price. One good example are the eyeglasses from Zenni Optical. Offered for as low as $8 each, their eyeglasses are simply a must have because they are not just cheap but very fashionable and made of high quality as well. Their eyeglasses were known instantly because of those facts. And just recently, they launched their new set of frames that you couldn’t find anywhere else.

I was actually thinking of giving Mom a new pair of eyeglasses this Christmas and just looking at Zenni Optical’s wide selection gave me difficulty on selecting which one would fit Mom the most because they are all trendy and nice. I know for certain though that she would like it all but of course I only need to get one.

How about you? Have you decided what gift to give your Mom or Dad? Tell you what, eyeglasses would be a great gift to consider. So take a look at ZenniOptical.com now and most probably what you’re looking for is just right in there.
An overdue tag from Rosemarie. Sorry for posting this just now, Sis. I was a little shy to post one actually but since a lot has been doing this so i thought of joining the fun too. Har.

Anyways, this picture was taken using the webcam while i was talking to my hb before. I can't take a shot now for some reasons. Hope you would consider this one since it was also taken on the spot - only an hour after i woke up which is quite obvious i think. As you can see, my hair is quite a mess since i still haven't taken a shower that time. Hehe.

Here are the rules:
  1. Take a picture of yourself right NOW!.
  2. DON'T change your clothes, DON'T fix your hair... Just take a picture.
  3. Post that picture with NO editing.
  4. Post these instruction with your picture.
  5. Tag 10 people to do this.

Can you smell it? I’m talking about Christmas. Its spirit is definitely in the air. And being the season of joy and gift-giving, this is the time of the year where we bring joy to our loved ones by giving them gifts that really comes from the heart. That’s the essence of gift-giving after all.

Speaking of which, have you gone shopping yet? Or perhaps you are still undecided of the best gift to give them. How about some personalized holiday gifts? That would be a nice idea, isn’t it? I can be choosy when it comes to buying gifts. For me, the idea is not just to give a gift but to be remembered for giving such a nice gift. That’s why I’ve always preferred personalized gifts whenever I give one. It’s either their picture is on it or their names. Every one of us feels special when thought of given a gift but I do believe that having the gift personalized will make everything extra-special.

If you think of giving one like I do, you should check out PexagonTech.com. They offer personalized items like pens, thumb drives, business card flash drives, and wooden USB flash drives at discounted prices of up to 20%. And there’s a lot of colors to choose from that would suit your preference. Such a great deal, huh! So what are you waiting for? Don’t wait until it’s over. Check them out today!

I haven't seen my mother-in-law for a while. The last time i saw her was during my hubby's second death year anniversary. I was hoping i'd see her during All Soul's Day but she was in Bacolod City for a vacation. Then yesterday afternoon, she thought of paying us a visit. She missed Yogi so much but unfortunately, Yogi was already sleeping when she arrived. A peck on Yogi's cheek was what she could only do. She lives in a town about an hour drive from our city so more often than not, we only see each other on special occasions involving both our families. But we do keep in touch every now and then through text messaging. She brought us a bunch of bananas which were freshly picked from their backyard. That's what she always does whenever she visits us. If not fruits, then it would be vegetables. We had quite a talk which brought back old memories again. Sigh. Anyways, it was good seeing her again...
To be honest, I’ve never experienced sitting on Santa’s Lap during my childhood days. It would have been a dream come true for me like most kids dreamed of. But don’t you know that it is still a dream of mine even up to now? Why not? As they say, there will always be a child in us and being young at heart, I never stopped dreaming. And today, I never thought that dreams do come true. I know it was only through CEIVA Digital Photo Frame but it was fun. Sitting on Santa’s Lap really looked real since it is digital. Santa even mentioned my name and showed my wish which was written in his book. That was really cute. “I’ve been a good girl all year Santa, so I know you are going to grant my wish.”

The picture that I've uploaded using the digital photo frame was taken last Christmas while i was sitting in front of the Christmas tree which made me nostalgic right then. It was one of the best Christmas that I have had because my cousin who is now living abroad paid us a visit. Anyway, I am going to show this digital photo frame to my nephews and nieces. They would love it for sure!

You want to have your dreams come true too? Then join Got a Wish Sweeepstakes, get to win $500 and have the happiest Christmas ever!

It was a few months ago when i learned about this assessment going on in this advertising network. That news made me feel anxious because i don't know what my blog's assessment would be. I was hoping for a positive result, of course, like everybody does but i wasn't aware of their criteria so negative thoughts bothered me a bit too. I've also read some posts about bloggers who didn't pass the test. I would probably cry if that happened to me. LOL. That was a few months ago and i thought it was already over until i received this e-mail yesterday which really made my day. Here's what it says:

As you know, we work really hard to make sure the blogs in our network are of the highest quality. So, you may have heard that we're enforcing stricter controls for blogs submitted to the P3 network.

That being said, congratulations! Your blog ('My so-called Life') has passed the test! The quality of your work on 'My so-called Life' is excellent and we're overjoyed that you've chosen to include it in our marketplace. Go, you! Keep up the good work! Huzzah!
Thanks a lot! I'm really happy that i passed the test. Yay!!!
I know i haven't been dropping Entrecards lately. But i'm very thankful because despite my absence, there are still some people who never fail to drop me one here. Thank you all so much for the drops. That goes not just to my top ten but to all of those who dropped. It is very much appreciated. Keep on dropping! (",)
