Lagum!!! The battle cry of a group of out-and-out and feisty air soft enthusiasts. They come from varied backgrounds with a common love for the sport. Most members are practical shooters and some are veteran airsofters from other teams. They were formed only last February of 2008, and they now have 28 active members from an original of 13.

Why Blackwater? The team adopted this from the name of the world's most powerful mercenary army in Jeremy Scahill's International bestseller, "Blackwater." This is a fictional book on the Iraq war and how it was fought and won by the United States of America. Akin to the Navy Seals of Scahill's Blackwater, they are a group of purposeful, relentless and merciless players out to win in every tournament they sign up for. On just their third outing in Major League tournaments, they were able to gain the second runner-up place in the AWOL tournament held last August 23, 2008, in Davao City. In the same tournament, they were adjudged as the most organized team. Most recently, October 4, they again won 1st runner-up in the Makilala tourney, at Makilala, North Cotabato, besting six other airsoft teams.

Blackwater is slowly but surely gaining the respect of other airsoft teams because of their adherence to the unwritten code of honor of the game. The team members strictly hold on to the tenets of high moral values and honesty, especially during the actual games and when hit but not called out by the marshalls. Each member has to look out for his teammates both in the game itself and in the practice of their honor system. Discipline is another factor that makes this team standout. Weeks prior to a game, team members go on their routinary drills and exercise to gain stamina and speed in readiness for a tournament. It is these drills that make them ready to shout their battlecry at the start of every tourney. Lagum!!!

For me, a home without plants is incomplete. Plants help beautify not just our home but its surrounding as a whole. I even wish to have a much wider open space for a garden but it is simply not possible because of the small area we have here in the subdivision. So Mom and I make use of planters. If you happen to pass by here at home, you would see indoor planters in the living room as well as in the dining area. Outdoor planters also abound in the balcony and near the garage. I like seeing them neatly arranged in unison in those areas.

Mom is even thinking of purchasing more garden planters soon. She loves flowers so much that our front yard is already full of flowers beautifully lined up in their decorative planters. Mom has a new plant almost every week. Either it’s a gift from a friend or she bought it herself. So meaning, for every new plant also comes a new planter.

One time she asked me to search for planters online and I found these lovely high end planters from PlanterIxchange.com. The selection is awesome and I end up totally fascinated and excited at the same time. How I wish I can purchase them all. Mom loved their decorative planters a lot. Those window box planters are also awesome but we can’t use it here at home because of the space. Why don’t you check it out yourself and be fascinated like I do?

Yesterday was the second time that i can't send a Permalink to this network because there's an error with their link. GC said it was a broken link so I tried to fix it but still to no avail. Their system won't still accept the permalink saying that i didn't include any link in my post. Gosh!

I sent an email to their customer service and was informed that they will respond within two business days. But where was the response? It's been two days already but there was none. And to top it all, the reservation already expired yet there was still no sound from them. Geesh! What i don't like about it is the fact that i put time and effort in doing the post but what did i get? Nothing! Oh well, i can't do anything about it but sigh...

I really admire those young girls who are talented and who are not afraid or shy to show their talents. It can be a talent in dancing, singing or music in general, etc. When I see a young girl who showcases her talents, it reminds me instantly of my grade school years. I was an active grade schooler myself and I am always chosen to participate in programs either for a dance, a song or an acting presentation. And when I saw the CozmoTV player featuring Amy Poehler and this girl who talked about her talents and even showed it on the video, I was really in awe. She is such a smart girl and there was never a dull moment watching her.

Yogi and his classmates were given an assignment last week to look for a short poem which they will recite on February 6. I searched for one right away and i found this which is actually a poem for pre-schoolers. There's a lot of poems to choose from but i find this the cutest so i picked it. Yogi memorized the poem in less than an hour. Never thought he would. He wasn't going to memorize it at first not until he heard me reciting it. It probably sounded good to him, that's why.

Bumble Bee

Today, I saw a bumble bee
He was on a pretty rose
When i leaned in to look at him
He stung me on my nose.

I wasn't gonna squish him
Only watch and see
But i'll never get that close again
To a grouchy grumble-bee!

When life gets tough, whom do you trust? Probably yourself to make good decisions, and those you love to support you, and God to protect you. Trust is something that seems to take forever to grow into maturity, yet only a split second to be lost. Hard to give when not received, one must also trust to be trusted.

An important aspect of trust depends on whom you trust. Those who live a life of faith tend to live happier lives! Put your trust in the Lord, and trust becomes an easier aspect of your everyday life.

There is so much to be said about trust, however, the most important thing is to trust yourself and the choices you've made. One could continually second guess, rethink, contemplate, and frustrate how you got where you are instead of just being thankful for the journey and focus on the present, and trust someone greater than you to have the big picture under control.

When we had our house renovated two years ago, it was the kitchen that Mom kept her eye on. She was very particular with the details and she was the one who chose the kitchen accessories, furnishings, etc. Dad took charge of the other parts of the house and gave Mom the freedom to choose what she wants for the kitchen. Mom spends most of her time in the kitchen during the day that is why she wants everything done the way she wanted it.

I can still remember the brochure of stainless steel sinks that an agent brought here at home for Mom to see. Our sink has always been stainless steel from the first time this house was built but it is already quite old and needs to be replaced with a new one. Mom always preferred stainless steel because it never goes out of time. It is also elegant and neat to look at. Same with Dad, he always preferred the same and they both agree when it comes to that one.

It has been two years already since we had it but our stainless sink still looks as good as new. You can never really go wrong with stainless when it comes to kitchen accessories and all.

That's what i felt after i had a heart to heart talk with my close friend yesterday. She's a good listener and she never fails to comfort me whenever i need one. Life is really never complete without friends. Glad i have true friends who are always there for me through thick and thin.

And you're right, Mitch, life is beautiful and spending my time worrying and feeling sulky is just not worth it. Don't worry, i'm okay now. Will try to think of happy thoughts more. Thank you for the nice words, Mitch. Mwahugs!

It's always been like this anyway, so what else is new? Mom's at the mall for some groceries, Dad's out of town for a business trip, Bro's at work and Yogi went somewhere with his cousins. I do have companions here though - Dad's workers doing their stuff - but they're at the adjacent lot, and all i could hear is the sound produced by the hacksaw blade cutting a steel sheet. I can't even hear their voices.

Oh well, i'm trying to keep myself busy browsing the net but what i don't like about being alone is having the chance to think of sad things and feel sad eventually. I feel quite a little sad now actually and feel a little empty too. Just a little. Wish i have someone to talk to... Wish someone would give me a hug... Geesh, i'm beginning to get emotional here. Enough of the sentiments. Life!

Our family love dogs and we actually have four dogs here at home. Though having dogs is not at all easy since they’re also like humans who have needs like food or the dog food, their shelter or the dog house and their proper grooming, which is a must, but still it didn’t stop us from taking care of one. And we always see to it that their needs are being met. But one thing that is annoying about dogs and should be given proper attention is the ticks and fleas. They can harm humans too so it’s one thing that we do check every single day.

I don't want him to get addicted into it but what can i do, my nieces already taught him how. I'm referring to the games on the internet specifically yahoo games or y8. It all started last week. I wasn't aware of it until i heard him laughing as if somebody was tickling him. I checked on him and that's when i saw him playing this game.

At his young age of 5, Yogi already knows how to browse sites. He doesn't know how to read yet since he just started school last June but he is such a smart little kiddo. You know how he did it? He familiarizes himself with the letters and that's how he gets into the site. I tried deleting the browsing history of the browser many times but what i didn't know was, he asked his cousins of the site again and let them write it on a piece of paper. Amusing! And until today, Yogi is glued in front of the pc most of the time. And we even argued at times because i need to use the pc for my blogging stuff and some other things that my Dad would asked me to do. He listens at times though but not all the time. Oh well, i think it's better than letting him play outside and end up so dirty after.

I’m not the type who exercises regularly. We have a treadmill here at home but you would only see me using it on weekends and sometimes not at all. It depends on my mood actually. That’s what differentiates me from my brother. He’s so into exercise and even goes to the gym twice a week. As per him, aside from having a good exercise, what makes him go to the gym is the presence of those elliptical machines that we don’t have here at home since having those machines help him in toning his muscles more. I agree because he’s got a more well toned and defined muscles now as compared before. Keep it up, Bro!

It's been months that we haven't gone to the beach because everybody are just so darn busy. But today, everyone got time so we spent the whole morning at this private beach owned by my cousin's boss. The plan was to only have our breakfast there. We woke up as early as 5 o'clock but unfortunately, my sister and her family weren't able to make it that early for some reasons. They arrived at the beach at 8 o'clock already. So we had our meal at about 9 o'clock and spent the rest of the morning chitchatting since my cousins also arrived.

We don't usually spend the whole day at the beach 'cause if we do, the kids would probably end up sunburned. They just can't get enough of the water and won't get out of there not unless it's already meal time. Well, you know kids. We have no available sunblock too but they do use petroleum jelly in lieu of sunblock but it's just not enough. So to avoid further problems of burnt skin, we'd rather go home and spend the rest of the day inside the house. LOL.

This was taken last December when we visited Yogi's Pediatrician. I like the new painting on the clinic's wall so while Yogi was playing with the toys, i thought of taking a photo of him. But right as i clicked the cellphone, the doctor's secretary called him to check his weight which explains why Yogi was looking in the other direction and his feet looks like he's going to run. And he did run. Hehe.

We visited his Pediatrician again today because Yogi is having sniffles again. I'm afraid it's because of his allergy but gladly it's not. The doctor said it's just because of the sudden change of weather from time to time. He was given meds and that's it.

Here's the third among the eight parts...ENVIRONMENT.

Our environment, the place where we spend most of our time, is incredibly important. However, many people refuse to admit the role their surroundings do play in their well-being. One's environment can be turned upside down in a matter of moments - from peaceful to panicked, from quiet to noisy, and from organized to chaotic.

The place where you spend the most time must be a place where you feel comfortable, safe, and a place you love to be. As you can see, our lives are a jumble of overlapping environments that don't easily fit together. And unfortunately, you are often the one to hold them together attempting to create a seamless union between unmatched fabrics.

Take little steps to acknowledge and address each environment that fills your life. If the car is dirty, wash it; you'll feel better when it's clean! If the kitchen is messy, make a roster for dishwashing if possible, and if you don't have a place to quietly reflect on your study, get to that as soon as possible!

It is now available everywhere. Among the lingerie, it is the Sheer Lingerie that I find the sexiest. The picture below is an example of one, and as you can see, it is definitely sexy, no doubt. Would you care wearing one? If you were to ask me, certainly, I would. It feels good wearing one and feels sexy at the same time too, right? You don’t have to be sexy to wear one anyway.

I was at the mall last week, and the lingerie section being one of my most visited, I checked for new arrivals right away as I often do. I just love looking at those lingerie which are really nice, not to mention very daring at some point. Some of the styles that I’ve seen kind of amused me actually because they’re way too sexy that it won’t probably cover the parts that should be covered anymore. Try to imagine that. I would probably wear that one soon given the reason of wearing it for a special someone. That would be nice. What do you think?

I was watching Umagang Kay Ganda (the Philippines' top rated morning show) a week ago when they featured this perfume business for small time entrepreneurs. I find the business interesting for many reasons. First, i so love perfume. Secondly, the business only needs a small capital and lastly, the retail price is so affordable, meaning, i won't be having a hard time disposing it.

After hearing the details about the business, i checked their website right away, contacted the owner through email and that's when it all started. I've made a deal with the owner and she will send me the products next week. She offered me a kit but i chose to purchase the finished products instead. Maybe next time. I still have to figure out if this will be a hit here in our place. This is my first time to be in this kind of business and i really can't hide my excitement. I'm a little bit nervous though regarding the sales like if i'll be able to sell them all but i'm being optimistic and i'm keeping my fingers crossed that people will like it. If that will happen, then i already have my plan B. That, i will tell you soon...

Sleep doesn't always come easy. However, rest isn't just about sleep; rest is a pause in an overfilled day, sitting on a park bench and watching the ducks, going to a cafe and enjoying a great lunch. Rest happens in moments of madness where you willingly allow yourself to slow down and appreciate where you are and what you are doing.

In the busiest of times, rest is hard to come by. Assignments are due, work needs you, the house is messy, spouses are busy, children are tired and hungry, and you have so much to do that you don't know where to begin. Stop, breathe, and attend to those who need you first. Don't allow yourself to stay so focused on doing that you neglect feeling and responding.

Rest is a choice you will have to make. Don't wait until your body makes you stop or slow down, the best way to address sleep is to get it! Getting the rest your body and mind deserve may be difficult, it may mean missing your favorite TV show, skipping a social engagement or just going to bed early.

Organize yourself, your day, and your schedule - take control of your life and then go for it! Rest equals calm, calm equals peace, peace equals a more productive and successful life.

I've read this very enlightening article from a magazine given by my Mom's friend. It's a feel-good article and so i thought of sharing this with you. Using the acronym CREATION, read these eight simple keys to a better life. The article is quite long so i've decided to cut it in eight parts. I will start with C first which is CHOICE.

Each little choice we make may seem insignificant at the time, however, it may determine our health and happiness in the long run. While we are young, we strive to make choices, even beg to choose for ourselves. The idea of choice is exhilarating and exciting, then we grow up and we realize that choices come with consequences and burdens.

Many choices keep us up at night considering the multiple outcomes, contingency plans, financial implications, time factors, and much more. We wonder if this choice is selfish, how it will affect those we love, and how exactly we will make it through.

One of the most important aspects to consider when it comes to choices is the peace of mind that comes when the options have been considered, weighed, and a decision has been made. It is that peace that you should focus on, reminding you that yes, things may get difficult, however, in the big picture you have peace and the right choice has been made.

Halloween is definitely one of the most celebrated events every year. Adults and kids alike never miss this opportunity to showcase their creativity by the costume they wear which is actually the main attraction in this occasion. Halloween Costumes can be scary, sexy or playful and they never fail to amaze me and sometimes even scare me. But it is always fun watching those individuals in their costumes knowing that they have put so much effort in it yet enjoying it at the same time.

I have attended a Halloween party before but I never got the chance to wear a costume for some reasons. But if ever I’ll attend another one in the future, I would probably wear this Freddy female costume. I never thought there is such a Freddy female so I know it would be a hit. Isn’t it awesome? But attending a Halloween party will not be complete without my son. So he’s got to have a costume for himself too. While I was browsing for some kids’ costume, this one catches my attention instantly. A Little Dracula costume which I know would fit my son perfectly. A Freddy female and a Little Dracula costume for a mom and son tandem would be great, don’t you think so?

As soon as i've read the rules, i checked my folder instantly and here it is - the sixth picture on the sixth folder. I got nostalgic all of a sudden upon seeing the picture. It was taken in January of 2001 during our three day trip to Boracay. I was still single then but was already taken. Hehe. That's my older sister sitting in front, then my older bro, me (on a black tank top) and my Aunt behind me. My BIL took the picture. We just came from the Bat Cave when this was taken and as you can see, i couldn't put a smile on my face anymore because i was really exhausted from our hiking adventure to the cave. I've actually posted about that Adventure before. Anyways, our Bora trip was one of the most memorable trips that i've had. Hope i'd be able to visit the place again someday. That would be great!

I've just been laying in bed since this morning. The only time that i went out was when i brought my son Yogi to school. Nobody is going to do it but me because nobody's left here at home but us. I do get up during meal time, whenever i take meds or drink fluids and when nature calls but that's about it. It's 5 o'clock in the afternoon now and I've rested quite enough but i know i need some more. I am just here to do the opp which was written before this because it will expire soon. I have no plans of writing here and would just prefer to lay down in bed but my niece called me to check her journal so i thought of writing a post here instead. Will get back to my room after this and get some rest.

I've blogged about it early last year but i just didn't give the details because i don't think it would be appropriate. It was a thing associated with where i was connected to in the past. But i am not the only one involved. There were a few of us. As much as we want everything to end, but then we couldn't do anything but wait since everything is not that easy. It will take a while before everything will be settled.

December last year when i was informed that the thing that we've waited for already arrived. I disseminated the info to the others right then but it was only yesterday that we've got hold of it and finally knew their side of the story. Just like before, i don't want to give details here since they might take it against us. What we've read was a little shocking but that's what they claimed so let it be. We just have to wait and see what happens next.

Among my things, it is my wrist watch that I really can’t leave home without. There wasn’t a single time that I forgot wearing it because I feel incomplete without it. Aside from being an accessory, we know how essential having one is.

I'm not really into New Year's Resolution since more often than not, i don't get to follow any of them. Hehe. I was just forced to make one before because it was a school requirement but that's about it. But for the fun of it, i will try to make one now. Well, we never know, i'll be more patient and obedient in following it unlike before. I was kind of stubborn before, you know, but since i've matured quite enough (harhar!), maybe i'll succeed this time. We'll see... (",)

My 5 New Year's Resolution

1) I tend to get impulsive when i go shopping - buying things that i regret doing after a while. Next time, i'll think a million times first before purchasing anything.
2) I'll try not to be nosy anymore but if i will have a hard time then perhaps cutting a little on it will be fine. Lol.
3) Be more optimistic. I used to be pessimistic but thought it won't do me any good so i'm beginning to be optimistic and hoping to be a lot more optimistic.
4) I worry a lot and i want to get it out of my system so hopefully i'll be successful this year.

5) I tend to trust people easily which i figured is not good at all. I'll be more careful on that one.

My bedroom is my favorite place in the house. It is where I spend most of my time watching TV, reading magazines or simply daydreaming. That is why I always see to it that the bed sheet and pillow cases are changed every week because I already feel itchy if they are not being changed beyond that. More so, I am also being careful this time because our beds were once infested with bedbugs.

It was two years ago, I guess, when my nephews and nieces have these red marks on their arms and legs which we figured as bites eventually. It was only then that we’ve discovered about the bedbugs. Good thing, they haven’t multiplied that much yet but then again, they’ve already created a dilemma – making my nephews and nieces uncomfortable to the point of having mood swings because of the itchiness the bites brought. It was our first time to have encountered bedbugs so we’re kind of clueless on how to get rid of them. But gladly, our neighbor offered a helping hand and gave us assistance. Myspace New Years Graphics

We said bye-bye to 2008 last night and we did welcome 2009 with a bang. As midnight stroke, different colors and shapes of fireworks display dominated the night sky - creating smokes which doesn't smell good actually, but still it didn't stop me from enjoying the amazing site up there. I even captured a video of the fireworks display that our neighbor had. Yogi captured one too. You can see in his innocent face that he was really amazed of what he saw - shouting from time to time whenever he sees beautiful and colorful fireworks display.

Anyways, it's the first day of the year of the Ox. I'm wishing you all a fruitful year ahead! Cheers!
