For tooth extraction, that is. He did have an appointment before but it was for tooth filling and cleaning only. Gladly, the dentist agreed to accommodate us even though she had several appointments that day. When i called her and told her about Yogi's problem - his permanent tooth already showing yet the milk tooth is still there - she told me to get there as soon as i can. We went to see Yogi's pediatrician too that day and went to see her right after. Just in time before her clients started to arrive.

The dentist gave me two options for the payment. If Yogi won't behave, then she'll ask a much higher price but as you can see, Yogi was sitting still and was cooperative the whole time. So obviously, i got a discount. LOL. He's a brave little one you know. (",)

But it definitely was embarrassing. I’m referring to my experience at the mall yesterday. To tell you the whole story, this is what happened. I went to see my doctor and dropped by at the nearby drug store after to buy myself a moisturizer – the same moisturizer that I’ve been using for months. Since I was using a tote bag, I put it inside and headed straight to the mall. My first stop was the department store to buy Yogi some new clothes. I totally forgot about the moisturizer inside my bag that I should have supposedly left at the baggage counter. There was no detector on the way in and the guard didn't check my bag. Guess what happened next?

When I passed the detector on my way out of the department store, it beeped. I heard it of course but I didn’t realize it was me until the guard called my attention. They asked for my things and checked it. I didn’t feel nervous at all but the moment I realized that all the people around us were watching us or me for that matter, my hands started to get cold and tremble. I wasn’t guilty of course but having that attention and thinking that people might think I stole something is really embarrassing. When they saw the moisturizer, they figured then that the moisturizer’s bar code was the reason why the detector beeped.

The guard told me that I should have removed the bar code. Hey! How should I know? I didn’t know about that? I actually told the guard to remove it himself. I was already pissed that time. And while we were talking, this lady whom I’ve noticed had been staring at me from a distance went near us and told the guard to let me go. I figured she’s the guards’ supervisor. She told me that next time, I should never forget to leave everything that I bought outside to the baggage counter.

But in fairness, they were never rude and I know they were just doing their duties. I was just pissed with the other guard who has been telling me to remove the bar code over and over again. Oh well, what an experience! Lesson learned for Lynndee, huh?! (“,)

A wedding is perhaps the most awaited event in every couple’s life, and definitely one of the most celebrated family gatherings of all. Preparing for one needs proper and detailed planning since it only happens once in a lifetime and it should be as memorable as possible.

Though a church wedding is still the choice of many, more couples now are opting for a beach wedding for the uniqueness that it brings – saying your vows while hearing the sound of the waves kissing the shore under the warmth of a tropical sun is simply amazing. And what could be more perfect than if it’s solemnized at a beautiful beach, the kind of beach that everyone dreams of. Where else could that be but in the Riviera Maya, Mexico? You won’t just enjoy the beach but their luxurious hotels as well that offer superb food, great amenities and excellent customer service.

So, are you considering a beach wedding as one of the special moments in your life? If so, read about Karisma Hotels and Resorts’ destination weddings and choose the wedding package of your choice. Best of luck! Or should I say best wishes?
If you can still remember, this is how this blog looked like before... (Without the widgets and all. Just realized i've never taken a screen shot of that one)

until it was hacked and became like this...
But now, it got a new look! So what can you say? I've been itching to change it since yesterday. I waited for Twinks but she's been so busy lately and i do understand. So i made my way to change it myself but that's with the help of two thoughtful individuals. Well, what can i say? I'm 'puter dumb and i'm totally clueless on how to download templates. But with Nancy's help and patience with me all throughout the session, i finally learned how to do it. LOL. Never thought it would be that easy. Thanks a lot, Sis! I really appreciate it. Mwah!

And to my dear friend Mabelle who never fails to give me a hand, thank you so much, Dear. I owe you a lot already. Mwah! If i may tell you, she was the one responsible for the scroll bar in my friend's list, not to mention the one who introduced me into the world of blogging.

Oh well, My so-called Life has a new look now. Gone are the "blue" days. Hee hee. But i like the color of this one too. So sweet! Don't you think so? (",)

I usually check my blogs first thing in the morning and when i checked this one earlier, the layout was distorted. All i can see was my left side bar occupying the entire screen. I really freaked out! Well, who wouldn't? I was clueless on what happened to it. I texted Twinks (the one responsible for the layout) right away and when she said that my blog could have been possibly hacked, i got nervous the more. I talked to Ellaine (Lainyonline.com) who once experienced having her site hacked and yes, she said mine was hacked too. But the difference is, she couldn't access her site when it was hacked before. I could access mine, the only problem is, the page elements on the layout were nowhere to be found. And whenever i opened that section, this disturbing name... banished.ru appears on the lower left most corner of my screen. When i opened my site in a different browser - IE to be exact, that "name" was detected as virus. So how did that happen? Well, not being a techie, i really have no idea.

Gladly, my friend Mabelle (Mabelleverlasting.com) who is always there to lend a helping hand was online so i asked her help. She knows about tweaking layouts, as well as those html codes. And though she can't figure herself what exactly happened to my site, but then again, she was able to solve what has to be done for the meantime, and that's to change my layout. I was so happy to know that all my posts are still here and nothing's missing. I felt relief after that. Thanks a lot, Dear. You are my angel. (",)

Twinks (Tchel.com) is still on duty now and will check my layout this afternoon. For the meantime, please bear with my layout, guys! Twinks will soon cast her magic spell in here and everything will be alright. *wink*
Just this morning, while I was talking to my friend Leo, he mentioned his internet provider who’s been giving him a headache lately. Either he has a slow connection, or he’s always getting disconnected which really annoys him. I know the feeling because I’ve been into that situation before with my previous internet provider. But gladly, I haven’t had that problem with my current provider.

I told him to consider getting a new provider. He has already been considering getting a new one and might get bundle services where he could get great deals and discounts like the one which verizon offers. And just like buying wholesale, having a bundle of phone, high-speed internet and satellite TV would give him big savings. It’s the best idea to consider, if your goal is to enjoy telecommunication services at such a reasonable price.

He is yet to decide as of today because of certain issues he needs to deal with his current provider first. Once he is done with it, he’ll check verizon bundles right away and I do believe he won’t regret doing such.

How about you? Are you also considering getting bundle services? Then go check on verizon deals now and grab them while they’re hot!
I always check my emails first thing in the morning when I open my PC and go online. I know you are aware that comments on our blogs are also sent to us through email, and there's one comment that really surprised me. It says...

Hi,

If there’s one thing that I envy about my brother it is his wide array of brand name shoes. He has about four pairs of Adidas shoes that he’s bought over the previous years, three pairs of Nike shoes and some other pairs that I am unsure of what brands they are. And I think he is planning on getting another pair this year. He has proven and tested the shoes’ quality, and that’s why he never has second thoughts of buying one after the other. Before I know it, his room will be filled with shoes.

My brother is into practical shooting and Airsoft games, hobbies that require not just skills but a pair of long-wearing shoes too. That’s why he really invests in shoes, but what’s good about him when it comes to shopping is that he is very resourceful in searching for bargains. He is always looking for discount shoes. You might think that you can’t get brand name shoes at discounted prices, but you definitely can at ShoeBacca.com. Different shoes or athletic shoes in any brand that you could think of are being sold at a great deal. Do you need proof? Then visit their site and believe!
If you like reading real life stories, then you should read this one. To be honest, this is the first real life story book that i've read in my whole life. I've always preferred fiction books and never thought non-fiction could be really interesting. I do watch documentaries but i don't consider myself a fan. I only get to watch at times because of my brother who loves watching those kind of films. This book is his too, a gift from her sis-in-law to be. I saw him reading this book one day which prompted me to ask what book was it. He told me how good it was and lent it to me as soon as he was done reading it.

I never thought i would like this book a lot. If it's made into a movie, it would probably be action packed which is what i like in movies best. But the thing is, this is a true story - the story of Marcus Luttrell, a U.S. Navy Seal who was the last one left among four Navy Seals after fighting the al Qaeda group in Afghanistan in 2005. The book was well written and very detailed. No wonder it became a Bestseller. And what Marcus Luttrell did and have gone through is really admirable and at the same time astonishing. For a man to have survived in such a place, he is indeed one lucky man and i truly believe his faith saved him. I was actually teary-eyed during the time of his rescue. The story really touched me.

This is definitely a must read. Trust me!
I wonder how everything would turn out if there were no signs in places where there should be one. It would be a total chaos wherever in the world you may be, for sure. Just last night the headline on the local television news talked of a man who had a car accident because he didn’t see the curve ahead and went straight into the ditch. That is just one example of what could possibly happen if there aren’t proper signs everywhere. And just like any other warning sign, an Exit Sign is very important. In places where it is always jam-packed with people like malls, having no signs could possibly result in an accident or, worse, death if there was an emergency.

Another place where exit signs are really visible is in theaters. I do believe we do know the importance of having those signs in that area. But there were actually times that those signs were questioned because they were just placed anywhere they could think of not thinking if they were placed properly. It was actually in the news before when establishments were on fire and there were people hurt and injured. There were signs but the problem was they were totally useless because they were placed in the wrong place. It’s as good as no signs at all; totally useless. It’s not just putting a sign up and it’s done. People should also consider the proper place for it, its usefulness to people, and how helpful it can be when used the right way.

EXIT SIGNS can be purchased online through EnergyStar.gov. The signs they offer are energy savers because they only have an input power demand of 5 watts or less per face. With that, you are not only saving energy, but helping the environment be as chaos free as it can be.
I seldom go out recently because i am pretty preoccupied with a lot of things concerning my son, Yogi's schooling. I did go out yesterday but just to attend the orientation at Montessori School. It's Yogi's second year in that school so i am already aware of what's to be tackled. But still i attended hoping to hear new topics. I did hear new ones - concerns from some of the parents with regard to the previous school year. Glad to learn those. Never thought they had problems like that last year. I never encountered such problems. Maybe because Yogi's adviser then was so cooperative, very approachable and is always open to us parents with just about anything that concerns our kid.

Well, i'm hoping this will be another good year for Yogi. (",)
It was eight years ago when I had my last vacation at this famous beach here in my country. I was with my siblings, aunt and brother-in-law, and though we only spent three days there, still it was memorable and we did have a blast exploring the entire island and enjoying what the beach had to offer. How I wish we could have another vacation pretty soon. And if ever, I want it to be something different. I want it to be somewhere where I’ll not only enjoy the scenery, but shopping as well, and I do believe one great destination is Thailand, specifically Bangkok, and I’ll probably stay at All Seasons Gold Orchid Bangkok hotel where the famous Chatuchak Market is just a walking- distance away.

I know a vacation means spending but I’m so glad to learn about Accor Hotels City Super Sale where I can find hotel rates at great bargains in ten countries in the Asia-Pacific region, Thailand included. Rates have been reduced to as low as US$25 per night. Now, that is such a great deal, isn’t it? But the sale is for a limited time only so you got to check it out at the soonest possible time if you’re planning a vacation soon. Maybe I’ll see you there!

41 years and still counting. Stay happy together, forever! (",)
To all the Dads out there especially to my Dad, to my brother Ernie and to my Big Angel. This is your special day and hope this will be a happy one for all of you. (",)

"A dad is someone who
wants to catch you before you fall
but instead picks you up,
brushes you off,
and lets you try again.

A dad is someone who
wants to keep you from making mistakes
but instead lets you find your own way,
even though his heart breaks in silence
when you get hurt.

A dad is someone who
holds you when you cry,
scolds you when you break the rules,
shines with pride when you succeed,
and has faith in you even when you fail...
Happy Fathers Day to my Dad!!!

This is actually a tag entitled, "For The World's Best Dad" that came from Blue. The poem is just so touching and meaningful which i know for sure would warm the hearts of all the Dads who would be able to read it. Happy Dad's day! Enjoy your special day!
Other than having a regular job, people also rely on investing to supplement their regular income because of the economic crisis that the world is experiencing now. One good investment that has been the choice of many is rare coins and precious metals investment. Investing into these date way back to ancient times and is still a profitable venture.

Being in the industry for years, they are known for being committed to giving their investors the excellent service that they deserve when it comes to their investing needs. They are definitely the people to trust, so if you’re thinking of investing in gold, Monex is simply the right one to call.
He turns one today and preparing his first birthday party is one of the many things that kept me busy this week. We were supposed to celebrate it with a kiddie party at this famous food chain but my sister changed her mind and thought of having a dinner party instead. So, we'll have it tonight at the same venue where we had his Christening. It will just be a simple one with Winnie the Pooh and friends as his Birthday theme. Choosing the theme alone made my sister kind of confused. We chose between a couple of cartoon characters first before finally settling on Pooh.

I can't wait to be at the party tonight and feed my tummy with yummy foods once again. As if i haven't had eaten yummy foods in years, huh! LOL. I will share pictures taken on tonight's party here soon.

Happy Birthday, Nikko! Mwah! Mwah! Mwah!
Yesterday marked the start of classes for Montessori School where my son Yogi studies. He's now in Grade 1 and he was so happy to see his classmates again. I saw the same faces in the classroom though there were a few new ones. They were all really excited to see each other again. You can see it on their faces how happy they were while running around and playing on the slide. Yogi wasn't able to see them all during his summer workshop especially the boys.

The classes which was supposed to be until 4 o'clock in the afternoon ended as early as 3 o'clock for reasons like, books and supplies will be distributed, etc. but unfortunately, nothing happened. I think the books didn't arrive as expected. I waited and stayed there for three hours because of that. Glad a friend of mine was also there. Her daughter and Yogi are classmates.

What a day it had been for me yesterday. Really exhausted when we arrived home. Maybe because of the different emotions i had and i guess, the weather had something to do with it too. It was sunny at first, then it rained, then the sun was up again, and so on. Strange!
Summer equals fun, fun, fun! It is perhaps what we all consider as the perfect time for a getaway, vacation, swimming, fishing, camping and a lot more. Summer may be celebrated at different times of the year in different parts of the world, but just the same, summer spells fun wherever in the world you may be. Summer has just ended in our part of the world and for my son to enjoy every bit of it, I enrolled him in a summer workshop and did he ever have a blast.

But summer is still just around the corner in the Northern hemisphere. If you’re in that part of the world, what are your plans for this summer? How about a summer camp? The kids would love the idea for sure. Sharing joyous moments in activities with family and friends is definitely exciting, but even more-so, meeting new friends really adds up to excitement and fun.

Aside from Summer Camps, there are also other activities that are going to happen all throughout the summer. Want to know what they are? Then check it on the local event finder widget located at my right side bar. By just putting your zip code in it, you will then know the event that is soon to come to the area nearest you. Be updated and don’t be left out. Check on it now!

Millions of people worldwide suffer from poor eyesight. The reasons are many: heredity; age; or disease. But whatever the reason, there is definitely a solution. And the solution that has been known for years now and has been the choice of many is LASIK, or the eye procedure that is done with the use of laser. Aside from the fact of regaining 20/20 vision after the procedure, people can also save much having the procedure rather than constantly spending money on wearing contact lenses or replacing glasses. People who wear extended wear contacts can spend as much as $20,000 in a lifetime, whereas having the Lasik procedure is a one-time cost at much less.

The modern Lasik which is known as iLASIK uses two lasers for a safer and perfectly fitted procedure. A lot of Americans who have gone through the procedure can attest to the fact how effective the procedure is and how cheaper it can be than wearing contact lenses. Lasik is covered by most health savings, or flex spending, accounts, making things easier for you to budget.

If you need more information about the procedure and you want to calculate the cost of wearing contacts in your lifetime as opposed to the cost of doing the procedure, visit iLasik.com.

Blue tagged me this. Thanks a lot! Such a nice tag to remember our freedom and commemorate the Philippine Independence Day which is on the 12th of June. So let's share this and celebrate that freedom.

OPERATION 111

PHILIPPINE 111TH INDEPENDENCE DAY

"The Philippine Declaration of Independence occurred on June 12, 1898 in the Philippines, where Filipino revolutionary forces under General Emilio Aguinaldo. The declaration, in the form of a proclamation, in the presence of a huge crowd, was done on June 12, 1898 at the ancestral home of General Emilio Aguinaldo between four and five in the afternoon in Cavite el Viejo (now Kawit), Cavite, some 30 kilometers South of Manila. The event saw the unfurling of the National Flag of the Philippines, made in Hong Kong by Mrs. Marcela Agoncillo, Lorenza Agoncillo and Delfina Herboza, and the performance of the Marcha Filipina Magdalo, as the Nation's National Anthem, now known as Lupang Hinirang, which was composed by Julian Felipe and played by the San Francisco de Malabon Marching band."

It was just supposed to be a homecoming party for Aimee who arrived from Singapore on Tuesday, the 26th of May. Well, that's what we all thought until Michelle divulged her secret that night, June 1st. She is leaving for Saudi Arabia on June 7th to fulfill her long time dream of working abroad. She is a Registered Nurse and she's been applying for years but to no avail until now. The news still came as a surprise even though we know for a fact that it's what she really wanted. Had we known that it is a farewell party too, it could have been a much bigger party. Hehe. But there were no tears that night. Well, tears of joy, yes because it was a night full of silly girl talk. We had a good laugh and it really feels good being with my close friends again, my friends who has been with me since college days. Unfortunately, one was missing, Joy who wasn't able to make it for some reason.

Me, Michelle, Aimee, Nimfa and Jane

We didn't have much photos taken because no one's going to take it. This picture here was taken by Yogi and gladly, he was able to capture a nice shot. We just had a simple dinner here at home but what's important is, we were able to be together again - the five of us - after almost four years. Aimee will be leaving again for Singapore at the end of the month and i have no idea when we are going to see each other again. Time will tell. (",)
Being a parent is not an easy task. It takes a lot of patience, understanding, and a positive outlook to be able to surpass all the trials that we encounter on a day-to-day basis with our little ones. But despite the problems, some of which are just so petty that they can be considered life’s spices, being a parent is perhaps the most fulfilling of all jobs. And regardless of the problems sometimes encountered, being a parent can be filled with fun experiences that create a lifetime‘s memories.

Just recently, ParentsConnect.com launched a contest wherein a parent can win $1000, and joining is as easy as 1-2-3. You simply need to sign up and post their widget on your website or networking site. The widget will generate impressions and if you get the most impressions, you will be declared the winner by November. This widget will show the latest local events or activities in your area. If you want to be updated, just type your zip code into the widget and you will know the upcoming events in your area. You can then share memorable and momentous events and fun-filled activities with your little ones and interact with other parents as well. Sounds great, huh?

If you’re a blogger, not to mention a mommy blogger at that, join me and get in on this great Widget Contest. You'll see mine at my right side bar. The best of luck to all of us!
